Budapest Airport Future Plans
Leaders of the company decided to invest more than 260 million euros in expanding and modernizing the airport’s infrastructure until 2011. Their aim is to meet growing demand and to enrich and improve customer service and comfort. Plans include building of new air cargo facilities, a self-contained Airport City, a 4-star hotel with 250 rooms and conference facilities. The airport intends to build a maintenance hangar, too. This way the new Budapest Airport will create new jobs and contribute to the region’s economic growth.
